Don Fancher

At my core, I’m a big-picture thinker, always looking for ways to make a real difference for the people I work with. I have spent almost four decades doing one primary thing: helping people navigate the moments when the stakes are highest, such as a fraud investigation, a courtroom, a boardroom decision that cannot be undone.

I recently joined Aperture LLC as CEO. Aperture serves attorneys, insurance adjusters, contractors, and companies who need forensic and economic work they can rely on, and I am looking forward to helping build on the reputation the firm has already earned in that space.

My path here started at Peterson Consulting in 1987, and I moved to Deloitte in 1996, spending close to 29 years there across two stints, with a year between leading Navigant Consulting’s Disputes & Investigations practice. Nine of those years, I led Deloitte’s Global Forensic practice worldwide, where the team grew from roughly 2,700 to more than 5,200 professionals across 45-plus countries. Alongside that growth, I stayed close to the actual work: I have testified as an expert witness in State, Federal, and Bankruptcy Courts, and led investigations and disputes involving fraud, asset misappropriation, FCPA matters, IP, and business interruption. I also helped build Deloitte Advisory’s Legal Business Solutions practice, served on the Executive Committee for Deloitte Legal outside the US, and most recently led Deloitte’s Chief Legal Officer Program, working closely with GCs and CCOs at large companies.

I have sat on the other side of the table as well, spending six years on the boards of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services and Deloitte Transactions & Business Analytics, and earlier on the National Board of the American Heart Association, including time on its Audit Committee. That mix, hands-on casework, practice leadership, and governance, is what I bring to Aperture, and I would genuinely welcome the chance to talk with our clients, our people, and anyone else in the legal and business community who wants to connect.

Running Aperture keeps me plenty busy, but outside of work I stay active with my wife, family, and friends, pursue fitness and health with a passion, keep growing in my faith, and remain a huge sports fan.
