Christopher S. Downey, P.E., is a Senior Structural Engineer at CCA bringing over 25 years of robust technical and management experience leading teams in design, evaluation, and oversight of complex projects on a range of buildings and structures across various sectors.  He is licensed to practice as a Professional Engineer in ten states, including Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Florida. His expertise spans commercial and residential buildings, international airport terminals, medical and research institutions, high-capacity parking facilities, and work with historical structures. 

Specializing in the analysis of structural failures, construction defects, and code compliance, Chris has played a pivotal role in major projects such as Logan International Airport renovations and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Yawkey Center for Cancer Care. Some of his responsibilities include reviewing property loss, construction-generated vibration losses, and assessing code compliance issues. His commitment to technical excellence and innovative problem-solving continues to drive CCA’s success in the structural engineering field.
