Daniel Grauerholz
Mr. Grauerholz is a forensic expert specializing in the investigation of construction defects, premises liability, habitability standards, and construction site accidents. His work focuses on determining the cause, origin, and extent of failures and hazards within residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
His forensic analysis is built upon a practical background that began in 2015 as a Project Engineer, Consultant, and Owner’s Representative. In this capacity, he worked directly with architects, engineers, general contractors, and developers on a wide variety of construction projects, gaining hands-on experience in construction management, QA/QC, and building practices. This field-based knowledge is now applied to detailed forensic inspections involving property condition assessments, building code compliance, construction means and methods, and site safety protocols.
Mr. Grauerholz’s specific areas of investigation include construction defects and habitability issues affecting all building components, from structural systems, facades, and foundations to interior finishes, accessibility/egress, and MEP installations. His premises liability practice focuses on the assessment of walkway, stair, balcony, and roof conditions related to trip, slip, and fall incidents. Mr. Grauerholz reconstructs and analyzes construction site accidents across all phases of work, including incidents involving falls, struck-by hazards, caught-in/between scenarios, trench collapses, and equipment-related injuries. He has performed inspections and provided expert analysis for dispute resolution on properties located in Arizona, California, Texas, Nevada, and Massachusetts.
