Hail Claim Investigation in Houston, Texas
KIPP Texas, Inc.’s northeast Houston campus engaged Mr. Garrison to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the campus roofs and associated components. His primary objective was to assess reported hail-related damage to the existing roofing system across multiple single-story buildings at the campus, constructed at different times and featuring diverse roofs. The buildings in question house classrooms and administrative offices for elementary and middle schools, and the largest structure, is a concrete tilt-walls building with interior steel columns supporting the roof structure.
During the site visit, Mr. Garrison accessed the roofs of each building, excluding one, for visual observation. The north end of the property accommodates seven smaller, free-standing buildings, primarily serving the high school. We meticulously gathered information from sources such as the Harris County Appraisal District website and Google Earth Pro to identify each building, year of construction, approximate square footage, and roof system types and ages.
This report he submitted encompasses a detailed description of the buildings, relevant weather data, on-site observations, and his comprehensive conclusions and recommendations. Hia commitment was to provide a thorough and actionable assessment of the reported hail-related damage to support informed decision-making and remediation efforts.
