Aryeh Kashdan

Aryeh Kashdan is a Forensic Expert in Biomechanics and Premises Liability with Aperture. He conducts investigations and analyses of injury-causing events for the purposes of litigation. These assessments include vehicle/site inspections and necessary biomechanical calculations including occupant kinematics, occupant force exposure, and injury potential. Aryeh also performs ongoing research to elucidate the human biomechanics response and injury potential both for vehicle occupants and for humans conducting other activities. He has presented research at the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) World Congress. Aryeh has completed coursework in injury biomechanics, data retrieval from vehicle event data recorders, and photogrammetry.

Aryeh performs tribometer testing to assess available traction and conduct slip and fall analysis. He has taken part in an ASTM Super Interlaboratory Study measuring the variability in tribometer measurements and has participated in ASTM Committee F13 meetings. In addition to slip and falls, Aryeh performs biomechanical and premises liability analyses for trip and falls and other potentially injurious falls.

Aryeh holds a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an Exercise Science Option from California State University, Long Beach. His master’s program involved working as a Graduate Assistant in the university’s biomechanics laboratory and completing a master’s thesis in which he investigated the lower extremity biomechanics of collegiate volleyball players performing jump tests. He subsequently worked in a lab at University of California, Los Angeles conducting research on the effects of spinal cord neuromodulation on individuals with spinal cord injury.
