Isiah Powers

Mr. Powers brings to Aperture Consultants CCA LLC (“CCA” or “Aperture”) a combination of architectural design and hands-on construction expertise, with over a decade of experience focused on building design, building performance, roofing systems, and façade conditions.  Roofing experience began with a family-owned roofing business at the age of 15 and continued with Certified Roof Inspector credentials for both residential and commercial buildings.  Leads and supports numerous forensic investigations involving water intrusion, envelope failures, and structural deterioration.

Isiah started his career in the built environment by studying in practice with his family’s businesses, one in interior architecture, and the other in roofing inspection and replacement.  These experiences not only developed the initial inside-out understanding of the mechanics and proper performance of the built world, but also developed the understanding of the vital importance of sound design and installation.  This was further solidified in his interdisciplinary roles as a ground-up residential builder/carpenter, commercial interior designer, and architectural designer & draftsperson, leading up to his current position at CCA.

At CCA, he utilizes his diverse background and expertise to investigate and opine on construction deficiencies and develop the remedial design to make the buildings whole and function properly.  He contributes to the production of architectural documents, project coordination/management, and design development.  Experienced in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other programs to support the development of detailed construction drawings and presentations.

Additionally, as a Combat Engineer of the Army National Guard, Isiah is passionate about serving his community and country through his unit in Massachusetts.  His commitment to service also translates to his civilian life, including architectural outreach, youth mentorship, teaching conversational English classes to immigrants seeking citizenship, and humanitarian aid work in Kenya, Guatemala, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and New York City.

As a Junior Architect at Aperture, Mr. Powers’ combination of field experience, functional and operational knowledge of the design-to-construction process provides thorough and distinctive expertise from investigation projects to design solutions.
